On the occasion of International Women's Day, JSPM’s, Jayawantrao sawant Institute of Pharmcy, Pune organized a significant seminar on women's safety on the topic of "Women's safety and empowerment" by Hon. Shri. Sanjay Patange. Prof. A. M. Patil, activity co ordinator and Ms. Kiran M. Purohit is a student co ordinator of the event delivered a warm welcome note along with the importance of this seminar followed by introduction of speaker. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about issues related to women's safety and provide practical tips and strategies for self-protection. The seminar began with an overview of common safety risks faced by women in various settings, including public spaces, workplaces, and homes.Shri. Sanjay Patange emphasized the importance of recognizing these risks and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.

Practical self-defense techniques and strategies were demonstrated to empower women to protect themselves in threatening situations. Mrs. Vasanti Jadhav conducted live demonstrations and provided step-by-step instructions on basic self-defense moves, such as hand-to-hand combat and escape maneuvers. The importance of situational awareness and vigilance was emphasized throughout the seminar.
