Guest lecture on “Job Avenues in Pharma Coding”

JSIP organized guest lecture on “Job Avenues in Pharma Coding” for final year D. Pharmacy students. Ms. Neha V. Mavdikar accepting invitation to deliver a lecture. Prof. A. M. Patil, activity co ordinator and Ms. Gaytri S. Rasal student co ordinator of the event delivered a warm welcome note along with the importance of this seminar followed by introduction of speaker. In the presentation Ms. Neha V. Mavdikar explore the importance of Documentation in Medical Records and various types of dictation formats. She also discuss to learn about Confidentiality when dealing with Medical Records. She also introduced to the actual Coding Process and give exposure to Millions of Jobs Globally in the Arena of Medical Coding. She also give emphasis on role of pharmacist in decoding. Medical coding training prepare the students for employment in the health care information management area. At the end of session raised queries related to Pharma Coding which was answered by the speaker to a significant extent. Overall the session is excellent and informative. Finally, seminar end with vote of thanks given by Ms. Kiran M. Purohit.
