To celebrate 3 rd National Pharmacovigilance Week JSIP organized guest lecture on “Current Challenges in Pharmacovigilance Pragmatic Approaches” for D. Pharmacy students. Mrs. Savita Prashant Naik accepting invitation to deliver a lecture. Prof. A. M. Patil, activity co ordinator and Ms. Kiran M. Purohit is a student co ordinator of the event delivered a warm welcome note along with the importance of this seminar followed by introduction of speaker. In the presentation Mrs. Savita Prashant Naik discuss what is pharmacovilance, how ADR is monitored and reported. She also discuss to learn about Confidentiality when dealing with ADR records. She also introduced how the actual ADR reporting process going on and also stated role of pharmacist in PvPI monitoring. She also give emphasis on role of pharmacist in preventing ADR and how to ensure patient safety while dispensing medicine and preventing ADR. At the end of session raised queries related to Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting which was answered by the speaker to a significant extent. Overall the session is excellent and informative. Finally, seminar end with vote of thanks given by Ms. Kiran M. Purohit.
